KATRINA HEINEKING NAMED "OUTSTANDING PERSON OF THE YEAR" BY WTS
Katrina Heineking, PTM employee and General Manager of Sun Tran, was recently recognized as “Outstanding Person of the Year” by the Tucson chapter of Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS).
The Sun Tran staff, who nominated Katrina without her knowledge, noted in their application that “she has proven herself to be a true asset to our community by further enhancing public transportation as a viable option for our residents. As the General Manager of Sun Tran and Van Tran since early 2006 and Assistant General Manager of both systems prior to that, Katrina works tirelessly to continue improving these transit options and increase the use of public transportation.”
