About - About PTM
Professional Transit Management (PTM) was created to offer flexible, cost effective solutions to meeting the executive management and labor relations needs of the American transit industry. Our management approach reflects our belief that a transit system's overall performance is the sum total of many smaller, individual components. The key to excellence lies in ensuring that every team member's contribution benefits the total performance of the system and, more importantly, benefits its riders and the community.
PTM's co-founders and majority owners, Tom Hock and Mike Setzer are experienced transit professionals with extensive experience in hands-on management of transit systems and direct participation in the labor relations process. Both principals of PTM previously served as CEO of one of the nation's largest transit management contractors, affording them deep and rich experience with the requirements and challenges faced by public agencies and policy makers. Tom and Mike's keen awareness of the complexities of providing safe, reliable, efficient service to the diverse ridership in America's cities enhances their ability to find solutions to our customers' transit issues.
