Welcome to Professional Transit Management (PTM). PTM was founded in 1999 by Thomas Hock and Michael Setzer, transit professionals with over 60 years combined experience.
PTM provides transit management services to 17 public transit systems in 12 states throughout the United States. Our customer systems range in size from 19 to 400 vehicles and provide fixed route, paratransit, shuttle, and trolley services in rural and urban environments.
A key differentiator between PTM and most of our competitors is the fact that we are owned exclusively by our employees. PTM management team personnel can earn the right of ownership with successful performance on the job. This benefits our customer systems in a number of ways, including:

Responsiveness and Personal Attention
Many of our competitors are owned by large, multi-national corporations based in Europe; one-on-one discussions and/or on-site visits from the owners are very unlikely. However, our customers can call Tom or Mike any time, and Tom makes it a point to visit each customer system at least once per year. -
